Walking Tours in Oxford

For visitors looking for an official, well-informed introduction to Oxford, there is only one Oxford walking tour.

Bodleian Library City and University Tour
Run by the Bodleian Library, this guided walking tour offers a clear and authoritative introduction to Oxford’s history and University buildings. It is led by trained guides and provides access to selected sites not always open to the public and other guiding organisations.

If you’re really lucky it might be me leading it.

Harry Potter in Oxford Guided Tours

Two to recommend, simply because the guides are fully accredited and authorised to guide both in the Divinity School and Christ Church.

Please be wary of other Harry Potter tours in Oxford, many only show the outside of buildings.

Avoid at all costs any of the “free” tours. How can they be free if the sites charge an entry fee…?

Full disclosure, this one is mine.
